TRIBULATIONS DETAILS

Tribulations Details

Casting - We have chosen to go with three main characters who are portraying a protagonist, an antagonist and a victim. The actors who are playing the characters are as follows:

Hussein as Victim
Mumin as Protagonist
Shivum as Antagonist

Location - We have decided to go with two locations in which one of them will be a housed aimed for a working middle class look and at an two floor high outside shopping centre to show the antagonist as disguised in the public.

Costume - There will be oppositional clothing where the protagonist will be completely different from the antagonist and his brother who is the victim. The protagonist will be wearing a suit simply because he goes to work and this will be taken when the character reaches home from work. The antagonist will be wearing all black so there will be a black shirt, trousers, shoes and overcoat. However the victim will be wearing casual clothing as we are trying to show the younger brother is jobless.

Lighting - This lighting on this two-minute opening will differ from the locations. The first location when the protagonist is walking into his house, it will be dark to show its nighttime but there will be top lighting from the lampposts. The location inside the house will be dark as well so there will be low-key lighting. The last location where the villain is will be outdoors so it will be dark and there will be no such lighting, he needs to be shown unidentified.

Actors – The protagonist’s facial expressions will be very focused and shown as nervous as well as upset/angry. The antagonist’s facial expressions will be shown as relaxed and calm to show he’s in control of the situation.

Props – The props that are going to be used is a briefcase and two phones.

Setting – The setting of this production is in two locations which is a house aimed for middle class and at a one floor high shopping centre.
